Appoints Anthony Macdonald as a Client Relationship Manager
Growing client activity is fuelling a recruitment drive within the client relationship management team at Mellon Analytical Solutions (MAS), the performance and analytics arm of Mellon Financial Corporation. Anthony Macdonald joins MAS from Barclays Global Investors (BGI) this week as a client relationship manager.
At BGI, Macdonald was a client relationship manager responsible for business development and account management of BGI’s institutional client base, covering UK pension funds and charities. Macdonald started his seven-year tenure at BGI as an analyst for security pricing, then as an analyst in performance measurement, before progressing into client management in 2004.
In his new role at MAS, Macdonald will be based in Lilliane Chebaro’s client relationship management team in London, which reports to Allison Langley, head of client relationship management for Mellon Analytical Solutions. He will be responsible for managing major client relationships in the UK, Ireland and other European territories and ensuring MAS continues to focus on providing exceptional client service.
Commenting on the appointment, Fraser Priestley, managing director of MAS in Europe, said: “Mellon is regularly recognised in independent client surveys as one of the industry’s ‘best in class’ providers when it comes to product excellence and client satisfaction. Anthony’s experience and enthusiasm will help continue our drive as we grow our business.”
Macdonald added: “I am delighted to be joining Mellon Analytical Solutions at such an exciting time for the performance and analytics business. I have been very impressed by both MAS’s strong measurement platform and team, and by the dynamic and creative approach Mellon has developed in order to meet the challenges the industry faces going forward.”
Macdonald’s appointment closely follows the appointments of Bella Jasani and James Edwards in London and Michael Simpson in Edinburgh to the client relationship team.
